The Chester Thompson Trio was announced and the Trio is coming but Chester is missing the gig and has to be replaced by Gerry Brown who is well know as the Drummer of Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and Stanley Clarke and by Leon Ndugu Chancler who played for Santanna and Michael Jackson. Chester Thompson called up Uli Frost and Garrett Peek from Melodic Rhythm School on August 14th 2014. Chester got in conflict because of a date on August 27th 2014 in Europe with Phil Collins. Uli Frost: ’I know Chester since 2002 and all the years we never had this kind of issues but Garrett Peek and I learned that those tour preparations can cancel every gig. But we don’t want to think in problems we have to think in solutions and therefore within few hours we fixed the programm together with Chester Thompson and can presenting two legends on drums who been in Paderborn as well.’ Chester feels as an ambassador of Paderborn very terrible but he has no choice. Chester Thompson: ’Michael Rinne on Bass and Joe Davidian on Piano who played with me in Paderborn are coming to play in Belleville with Ndugu and Gerry. Gerry and Ndugu knowing Paderborn’s Drumfestival as well and will start with Uli Frost the workshop on 5 pm and later they will play with Joe Davidian on pian and Michael Rinne on Bass the concert at 8:30 pm. We strongly believe in training students to be able to continue their education of music throughout all levels. To achieve this, we believe that it is important for students to learn how to read music and how to play their instrument properly.
All lessons have a specific plan that is tailored to the student and their specific strengths and weaknesses. At any point, the teacher can tell the student where they currently are skill-wise, where the teacher intends to take them, and how they are going to achieve those goals.
Safety for students and teachers is very important to Melodic Rhythms. We have an open-door policy where the parents/guardians of the student are welcome to sit in on any lesson or to come into any lesson at any time.
